Visiting locomotives are welcome on all of the above events but must be booked in three weeks prior to the date of arrival,
7 1/4” engine owners wishing to attend the invitation week in July are requested to complete a visitors form (available here our website) we are unable to cater for locomotives that have not been pre booked, the usual current boiler & test certificates plus insurance information must be produced prior to unloading.

Sections of the railway may be closed during the period
Delays may occur at short notice, but where possible
we will try to continue running a single line shuttle service up to Far
Leys Station and back every Sunday plus Wednesdays and Fridays in
the School holidays, subject to weather and staff availability.
Please be patient as this may cause some long queues at peak times.
However the alternative would have been to shut completely
and disappoint some of our regular customers.
Easter Bank holiday Week end, commencement of the summer
running Timetable, every Sunday plus school holidays
(Wed & Friday). Far Leys Station to re open with
trains operating the full 2 Km circuit.

Miniature Traction Engine Gathering
Miniature steam road vehicles will be operating in the park and road
network, giving visitors the opportunity to ride on and talk to the
owners / drivers. Traction engines will be operating on the park
roadways from Far Leys to Harvesters station car parks. Hopefully we
will also have some full-
Railway operating Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Picnic in the park by
the railway stations and just watch the trains go by.
Special trains running for the Queens Diamond Jubilee,
and with, for the first time at EWR
express train services operating from Picnic Green Station.
Standard Gauge Steam & Diesel Event.
All locomotives and rolling stock operating will be models based upon
railways with a standard gauge of four foot eight and a half inches.
With models of locomotives that once steamed along the railway lines
of the UK and other countries, including Express Trains,
Goods Trains and Parcel trains.

An invitation week for 7 ¼” gage loco owners & enthusiasts to operate their
locomotives and rolling stock. With intensive rail operation and passenger
hauling for visiting engine owners to spend a week of relaxing,
playing trains with like minded friends and enthusiasts !!!
Also the 16mm Station master's garden railway will be open for
members and visitors to operate their respective engines and rolling stock.
